Tom Lamb over at Drug Injury Watch has been doing a great job keeping up with the controversy surrounding Sanofi-Aventis' antibiotic Ketek. Ketek has been linked to liver damage, and the FDA has been looking into the alleged connection between liver toxicity and the drug. The agency is evaluating whether action should be taken to strengthen Ketek's warning label or other moves to alert doctors and patients about the drug's safety.
